Farm Sale 1920

Oldbury Farm is mentioned with a Broadstreet Green Farm, although what, if any, connection there was is not explained, for the sale of dairy cows and other livestock and dead animals, as well as equipment, in 1920. The Auctioneers are A.Burtenshaw & Son (based in Hailsham).

The stock comprised of 48 dairy cows, 4 'promising' in-calf heifers, [a] pure-bred Sussex bull, 7 cart horses and colts, in-foal cob mare, cross bred sow, 7 porkers, and the capital [?].

It is said that the sale was by the order of 'Messrs. C. Drake and H.Strane respectively', although no explanation of their relationship to the farms is given.
